At Girl Power Afrique, we envision a future where the women of Africa are empowered through enhanced access to sexual and reproductive health services, supporting personal and professional growth, and and building a strong bond of unity and sisterhood. We envision a world where every African woman has the knowledge, resources, and support needed to overcome challenges and excel in both their personal and professional pursuits.

Our Vision 
Our goal is to establish the foremost online community network for African women, offering a powerfully enabling environment that fosters personal and professional development while addressing the challenges posed by gender inequality.

Our Mission 
- Establishing a strong network and sisterhood, to ensure unity, love, and support among African women through an expansive and interconnected community.
- Promotion of Sexual and Reproductive Health: We employ innovative projects, policymaking advocacy, community activities, and virtual events to educate and advocate for sexual and reproductive health.
- Facilitating Access to Developmental Opportunities: A curated selection of organizations within the healthcare, education, and technology sectors will be leveraged to link our members with opportunities for skill acquisition, career advancement, and exposure to global opportunities.
- Providing a Support System: Offering a supportive online community where members can lean on each other during their personal and professional journeys.
- Awareness Raising: Concerning the challenges encountered by women in Africa, such as gender inequality, sexual and gender-based violence, and issues related to sexual health.

Who We Aim to Serve

Our target audience comprises adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) of African descent, aged 15- 35. Membership is open and accessible to all.

The Challenge  
Gender inequality, a pressing issue that permeates societal concerns, significantly constrains the advancement of communities across the globe. African women face a myriad of challenges that significantly impact their quality of life, including restricted access to healthcare, persistent gender pay disparities, and systemic biases in education, as well as underrepresentation in leadership roles. The myriad of challenges, compounded by unacceptable practices like child marriage and gender-based violence, perpetuate systemic inequities in our global landscape. Numerous organizations are actively engaged in promoting development, yet a significant number of African women remain uninformed about the opportunities that hinder their potential for success.

Our Approach  
GPA is committed to addressing these challenges by leveraging the advantages of digital technology to cultivate an online community that is both dynamic and inclusive. We:
- Facilitate Knowledge and Empowerment: Through virtual workshops and health promotion initiatives, we engage women in acquiring essential knowledge, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding their health and overall well-being.
- Promote Community and Advocacy: Encourage a culture of solidarity among members, empowering them to support each other and  advocate for change in their communities.
- Connect and Empower: This involves collaborating with organizations to enhance access to global opportunities related to scholarships, internship programs, job availability, and skill development.

Our Impact 
Since its inception, GPA has expanded to include members from 18 African countries. Through our virtual platform, we continue to 
-Deliver extensive sexual and reproductive health education to  women and girls.
- Facilitate access for members to transformative personal and professional development opportunities that were essential for their growth.
- Establish an inclusive environment that empowers women to share their life experiences, fosters mutual support, and positions them as leaders in the pursuit of gender equality.
