Imagine stumbling upon someone who's not just drop-dead gorgeous but also incredibly talented and oozing charisma! Meet the fabulous Kate Henshaw, or as the X community (formerly known as Twitter) lovingly calls her, Aunty Kate. She's a force to be reckoned with.

Kate Henshaw, born on July 19, 1971, in Cross-Rivers state, Nigeria, is a famous Nigerian actress and a fitness guru.

Her educational journey began at St. Mary Private School in Ajele, Lagos, followed by secondary school at the Federal Government Girls' College in Calabar. After a brief detour in remedial studies at the University of Calabar, she majored in Medical Microbiology at the School of Medical Lab Science at LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) in Lagos. She completed her Medical Lab Science course and became a certified Med Lab Scientist. Before gracing the silver screen, Henshaw made waves as a model.

In the romance department, Kate Henshaw tied the knot with British-born Roderick James Nuttal in 1999, and they have a lovely child together. However, their love story reached its conclusion in 2011.


Kate Henshaw has lit up the Nigerian film scene, gracing over 45 Nollywood movies, including gems like "When The Sun Sets," "Chief Daddy," and "The Ghost and the House of Truth." Her most recent movie, "Blood Sisters," a Netflix original series, earned high praise from a Variety reviewer, who dubbed it "an infectious mix of melodrama, dark humour, and social commentary." It provides an authentic glimpse into Nigerian culture while addressing universal issues like women's rights and domestic abuse.


In 2008, she clinched the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in "Stronger than Pain." Kate has also bagged awards like Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Awards, Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the Best of Nollywood Awards, and more.

Beyond acting, Kate Henshaw has lent her discerning eye to reality television shows. She served as a judge on "Nigeria’s Got Talent" and participated in the global talent showcase, "The World’s Best" by CBS.
